Last night,

I dreamed of you.

You were here,

crisis averted.

Happy, alive,

though suffering

from the ravages

of old age.

 

My heart bleeds

for you

my eyes cry

for you

my hands ache

for you.

Where are you?

Do you think of me

like I think of you,

wherever you are?

 

All inside is either

emptiness

sorrow

or numb.

Would have

could have

should have

done certain things,

and it haunts me

--haunts us�"

but it’s too late.

I, and we,

can only think.

Only wish.

Only dream

dreams of you
