She stared out below at the land surrounding her home, at grass she had never felt and flowers she had never held, all the beauty thrown freely into this world, blown and scattered by a breeze she had never known. She had spent her entire life trapped inside, awaiting her day to leave. She wasn't necessarily forced, no barred windows, no locked doors... She remained by choice, as she hadn't really known another way of living. All throughout her time she had heard nothing but horrid tales of the world below, and horrible things about the creatures that wandered so frequently... However, a question remained... How could something so beautiful be so bad?
