A True Zephyr

A True Zephyr

A Poem by ExposedSiren
"

Nonsense.

"
If I had one wish,
I would wish to be the wind.

I would love to flow,
to rise and fall,
to comfort and rage...
I would like to pick up lost leaves and carry them away,
until they find their perfect place to rest and lay.
As a breeze, I would swirl and dance,
playing with her hair, and lightly kissing her cheeks,..

I wonder what it would be like to be so free.

I could steal your breath,
and carry your secrets away with me...
I could float lazily with the fireflies,
sway and harmonize with a symphony of crickets,
whilst basking in the light of fairy lanterns...
I could catch the echoes of passionate cries,
and listen to them all throughout my journeys.
I could guide the birds wings,
leading them into the the horizon over the sea.

If I ever felt mischievous,
I could create a flurry and let it go,
sending it to pick up skirts and misplace love letters,
to scatter snowflakes and dust particles every which way...
I would pick up umbrellas and steal all the balloons,
snatching them and keeping them for myself...

With my wish, I would wish to be the wind...

"I would kill to be the cold,
to become the breeze that collapses you,
to be the force that makes you unfold."
