Grateful Praise

A Christian praise poem

I thank God for food

and saving the victims of flood

I thank for my chance

of learning to dance

I thank for love

on Earth and heaven above

I thank the Lord for my gifts

music and writing offering my life a shift

I thank Him for clothes

and for being able to cast my election vote

I thank Him for having a roof

I also thank for validation of my destiny having proof

I'm grateful about my existence

and about having vision and persistence

I'm grateful about struggle helping me to grow

because in humility and respect it's teaching me to bow

I'm grateful about the presence of Holy Ghost

about the answers for the prayers I post

I'm grateful about being saved

more than once my path has been paved
