Battered Beauty

Battered Beauty

A Poem by Ezekiel Silver
"

Year poem was written: 2013

"

A heart full of sorrow and dust,

          still clinging to hope.

Despair entering the veins like poison,

          yet unable to kill.

      Prayers answered in complete silence,

          with miracles unfulfilled.

      But faith has not wavered,

          for it still gives strength.

Courage stands firmly on the ground,

          despite the horrors of evil.

This is the power of mankind,

the legend of who we are.

A wonderful and powerful piece, that shines with hope and light. So true that we are witness to much negativity in the journey of life, yet we do remain strong and resilient. Thanks for sharing your ink!
