The Fallen

The Fallen

A Poem by Ezekiel Silver
"

Year poem was written: 2013

"

Death abounds in the face of hatred,

           violence trails on.

Sorrow swims within rivers of blood,

           streaming through broken hearts.

      Courage stands strong in darkness,

           bringing light forth.

      Safeguarding liberty and life,

           by sacrificing their own.

      Rewarded with an eternal legacy,

           given honor in our history.

This poem is definitely a dialect; posing two opposing points of view to come together as a beautiful piece of work. In such a short amount of words you captivated me and then reading the authors note made everything some together perfectly. Well done
