The Black Phoenix

The Black Phoenix

A Poem by Ezekiel Silver
"

Year poem was written: 2014

"
A great shadow glides through cloaked skies,
like a leaf in a swift breeze.
It's diamond eyes blazing it's soul brightly,
          almost mimicking the motionless stars.

A terrific journey made above the skin of the seas,
          a path with no end.
Simply moving through the expansive world,
as a fleeting gem of the earth.

A rarity even in it's own eternal legend,
          the black phoenix.
