Brilliance

magnetic poles pulling
green Earthen
grey rock pressing

instant   yet
drifting like John Deere Tractors
lost in the herd

slight changes
brought a dramatic blaming
black holes of shaming

pondering   -   what was it?

some game of psychotic blood lust?

for HIM .... it was straining the
bonds of God and man.
for HER
it was writing poetry.

Diamonds are a long time in the making. Their brilliance is awesome. Their value, out of reach for many. Likewise to produce a poetic diamond, that too is of great value and rare, rare, rare. And love is brilliant too and in its purest form rare, rare, rare. I am reminded that it only takes a minute shift. A small pebble moving, can produce an avalanche. Can change the shape of a mountain. Can destroy the way it looks forever. Dear Mr E, your poem has my mind wandering in many directions. I am unsure of your meaning here, but your words give a spiritual feel about them and a feeling of what will be, will be. And I am still left with the diamonds. They are just as beautiful. They have not lost their shine. Wonderful poetry.

Some poems are as bright as diamonds, some treasured even more so than Diamonds, for some the promise of diamonds is forever and more valuable because its a piece of his soul creatively given. pffft who needs diamonds when you have poets?!

most welcome E.
and in our uniqueness we all find a can way to buoy the love of ourselves, relationship and humanity itself ... amazing isn't it how each and every one of us is just us and nobody else. All of here for one reason only and that is to shine the kind of brilliance you mention in your title. It takes time, a long time, to understand how to achieve this brilliance, but the journey is rewarding in itself.

I love Jacob's review - true right, when we sit and write there are times we feel the whole universe flow through us and in that we flowing we feel complete, and that there, that completeness is what it is all about.
People have varying thoughts on life, death and existence weather it comes down to god, energy or the like, really though? does any of it matter once we have learnt the art of the deepest levels of acceptance.

Great Poem E - got me thinking down the kind of vein you know I like to think.

Magnetic poles.. the space A to B full of air amoebaE.. or, the differences in Thought and Word between different lights - namely human beings? That woman: man thing is perhaps based on the right side: left side of brain?! The genders vary, differ, disagree, misinterpret and only two emotions can settle that psychotic blood lust.. smiling here, great phrase: is faith of man in Man or faith in creativity. Maybe?

This was a very interesting read which I enjoyed because it could have a myriad of interpretation. I see an attraction of opposites treading a unified but difficult track in relationship. The strains of evolution and struggle within these bonds. Each driven by a love of something greater than what they have. The yearning to perhaps find brilliance in them. Thank you E for sharing your art.

Is that what has us writing, E.?
Magnetic poles that make our words run like John Deere tractors tilling the earth of inspiration,
then harvesting our words into poems.
it is the art that counts, not what it produces so much.
I always feel the best part of poetry for me is not publishing...it is the process..maybe something God gave me to do...and the Brilliance is not the poet...it is the result of the hard work...it is the art itself, the poem itself that is most important...and that is what shines like a diamond.

I deeply relate to how it can be, where one person may read something one way & the person who wrote it may have been in a completely different mindset. Such is the confusion of these confounded human synapses! (((HUGS)))

Yes, coal is under a lot of pressure to become a diamond and our words go through a long process before they become poetry. Not sure exactly what you mean in this one, E. A bit of spirituality creeps in between the lines, but then "psychotic blood lust"? OH MY! I guess we do lust after poetry, don't we? We have ideas and notions and we might write down a line or two. Then we lust after more....always more. Your words are truly thought provoking, E. I would love to know the meaning of this one. Lydi**
