Touch

Touch

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

Touch starved: Definition, symptoms, and coping
Touch
ebony hair ablaze with shine
in the daylight
a waterfall cascade of starbright

this   patterned index started with
ridges as the Saw toothed Mountains
that nick smokey clouded heights and

sweeps misted valleys

hollow walls make spaces for souls and
demons just as easily

our luggage packed haphazard
 ...... willy nilly in
frenzied, chaotic dancing wisps
stuffed between soft, brown, leather lids
zippered shut

private intricacies squeezed between lips
clicked shutter tight
 .............. pictures that captured and

freyed sayings much over done

the weight loads one shoulder
then; another beyond balance
winding about the neck
like cobwebs
                                       hanging            and             dangling
          at odd angles

touching

Not sure about the need for first three stanzas, but I do like saw toothed mountains so yes, a ponderous picture of heavy issues sealed in Pandora's boxes. I like the rhythm, form and the way that you typically go for broke as in the golfer's lament - never up; never in!

A lot in the way of visions, and even things to think about, many things for a while. --- Thanks for the words, --- "hollow walls make spaces for souls and
demons just as easily" --- and for the ride.

You're welcome!
The visuals in this are beautiful. This entire piece is beautiful and full of raw passion, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The flow was enjoyable and just right. Mountains have always been one of my favorite things ever, I find them to have their own kind of beauty, so when a poem can capture them that’s when you know you did something right. Thank you so much for sharing!

I did my friend, and you are welcome.
This reminded me of the book, Bridges of Madison County, for some reason...the photography and romance mix I think. I love the writing of Robert James Waller. He's so talented. I enjoyed your poem and like the staggered lines for emphasis. I enjoyed the read.

First I have an ebony hair (ok mine is dark as the night) so YUPIIII!!! because I feel now the Goddess of this poem in her goodness and badness lol. yes that what I feel here, mother nature in her finest and wildest moods, her gentlest and angriest touches, her mysterious and peaceful natures, sure a real woman can embodies it all. of course your style here is YOUR style and You took us into a journey of your own ink. I feel like I am in a fairy tale...
