Abeyance

Abeyance

A Poem by Fadedspeak

In limbo,
highest in the air
where a bird could never grasp you.

When will you fall?
When will grace shelter its walls
and force you onward through the gloom?

You're frozen,
but I've never the verbs
to warm a heart ticking slower than time.

When will it end?
When will you descend
from where you're neither visible nor alive?

Angst-strangled existence,
war-torn, weightless;
trapped in a world of abeyance.

Just a little something written during a bit of down-time. Quite the short piece, but here's to you all enjoying it nonetheless. :)
