Moonlight in C Minor

Moonlight in C Minor

A Poem by Fading Poetic

A memory fading, the subtle mnemonic in C minor leaves a numbness on my lips,

Where the delicacy of flesh is taken, a stolen breath fleeing...

Forthwith a gift conferred, bequeathed, left for you,

My body and soul aching, aching for your gaze.

Ephemeral sensation, like the loves I have known,

And like my love, my flesh yearns the coming,

A feeling due since moment's conception,

An unbreakable promise.

Moonlight in C Minor graces the string from my fingers,

These same fingers that are want to dance across the cold of your flesh,

Carving their love in red against white,

The only permanence in pain.

Hitherto that moment when the nights will be the past,

Innumerable passing by as I lay forlorn and lost,

Sanguine I shall lay, fulfilled temptation of life drawn,

Sanguine I shall lay, sanguine I shall lay.
