The chance

I love your poem & the message it imparts. It's always so hard to make that decision to take a chance & your poem seems to convey a sense of agonizing, thru repetition & questioning. As someone who spends a great deal of time on my own rhyming, I must observe that your rhymes are pretty simple & repetitive. Since it seems like rhyming is a central aspect of your riffing style, I encourage you to try using a rhyme dictionary so you can branch out from the "eee" and other simple rhyming sounds (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I met my now wife of 25 years, 27 years ago in Tenerife( she was on a girlie holiday from Ayrshire, I was on a lads do from Milton Keynes) and she told me after our first night together that she loved me and that we would marry ( she was pissed at the time so I laughed it off) How right was she though !!
Don't think it happens to often the old love at first sight thing, relationships, as you well know, take an awful lot of working at to be successful over a long period, tongues bitten to bleeding and tolerance levels at times upped to the max. That being said I've had the most wonderful life since she agreed to let me share hers.
Love her to bits.
STOP WAFFLING MAN.

Your words are seeds of thought that make me wonder deeply about life, about choices, about taking chances. We can't know, can we, unless we take that chance, take that leap and hope with all we are that we land in that place of loving. Few have the courage for that... few take those chances. Powerful thoughts.

It is as you say- the day when i met domeo e in Cozumel-andi was working in cruise ships -i later jumped ship left everything behind and went to live on the island and had thdm send me my passport- i then travelled mexico and what an experience that was- i dont regret any chances ive taken but i am weary when you know there are certAin things before you make the choice that can already be telling you watch out- then might not be do clever- but yes well just never know- but i so wish for myself to find that special place of love- thankyou for your wisdom🌹

I am a believer that it happens more than we think, although very little gets done about it because of circumstance and timing. The question is always can you trust that your or their feelings are true. I loved the cadence and bouncy and flirty rhyme scheme. Great writing!

Only thing I'd change is to capitalize the (i - I ).However, once again, I find the rhythm of your poetry very pleasant and with a musical flow. Enjoyed the theme of it as well, makes me think on either a scene in a luxurious ballroom of the late 1600's or a more modern feel too at a coastal beach-side bar.

"Take a chance on me", I started to sing. I've always been a big fan of ABBA Kelly. A poem full of questions with no answers. If you don't try you will never know. If you want something that badly, then go for it I say. Love is strange, sometimes it can hit you like dynamite at other times it can creep up on you like a snail. Enjoyable lines dear poet.
