Tearing emotions
Apart

Poisoning
The part
Where
Life

Is held

But begged
Borrowed

To be sold

Turning all the
Love the heart
Holds

Cold-

Oh what i’d
Give

To we worthy
Of a heart of
Gold-

Never cheating

Lying

Turning cold

Oh how they
Sell their souls

Emotionless

Cold-

Oh what a story
They’ll soon
Tell

When the heart
They hold
Freezes

Becomes distant
Old-

When karma
Eventually
Starts to

the form you created catches my eye without reading a word .. like it a lot .. i think the rhyming and repeating lends strength and a feel of familiarity in reading ... an age old theme .. we do reap what we sow .. but your focus on what is good, honest and pure and the tragedy of its loss when we make decisions that turn that heart bit by bit into something cold and dishonorable ... you got me thinking Thoughts ;)))))))))) love on ya!

This is such a beautiful poem. It tells that even if one cheats in a relationship Karma is gonna get them. So no point on getting revenge by yourself.
One will always get what they deserve.

these words just hit and stuck, life is held where love is, when there is no love there is no life, no warmth, no heartbeat, nothing... only coldness and stones, when that part is poisoned with negative emotions it would be the same as the hurt and pain from a breaking heart. and yes Karma will always have its own way to set and play.

Beautiful, poignant. Apparently freeform at first blush, but possessed of internal rhythms that gave it a particular cadence as I read it to myself.
The beauty of the form created a contrast with the poem's sadness, making it... bittersweet. Hope is a cruel mistress isn't it? So much of our dreams seem predicated on apparent impossibilities.
