Remember the Night

Remember the Night

A Poem by astoundinglyattractive

You don't really care

not really.

But you are a good pretender.

I know

that you don't remember much about me

or my dreams or achievments.

Because it means nothing to you.

But it would mean something to me

if you remembered the night.

Don't remember

my fist place trophy

my many a-pluses.

Don't remember

What i did for a friend

what i did for an enemy.

Don't remember

How i helped

the broken child.

Don't remember

How i found

the lost soul.

Don't rember

how i tried to feel love

through the hate.

AnD Don't remember

How i gave up my whole self

for you.

If you ever remember anything about me

anything at all,

reember the night.

Remember the night

i grabbed the knife

and clenched in my fist.

Remember the nnight

i finally gave up giving in.

Remmeber the night

i threw it so hard

it lodged itself in the wall.

remmber the night

i beat myself in life

against death.
