Uncrowned and Unsound

Uncrowned and Unsound

A Poem by R.A. Youngblood

Leaning against the snow blazed mountains,
Catching the crows with silhouettes.
More and more are coming
To swarm around my heart.
Uncrowned and Unsound
You are laying at my feet.
The gravel is
Hiding you and embracing you.
Particles of stone and minerals
Are flowing in your veins,
Anchoring you in the depths
Far away from me.
Erase the shadow off my arms,
Let me catch you in your uprising.
