Tropical Island

Tropical Island

A Poem by Follan

I wake to see a tropical island,
Exotic birds tweeting,
Flowers carrying the scent of .... The sun
There I see a raven ,
It flutters around ,fitting in,
Somehow
Its dark feathers reflect the sun,
Eyes hiding more secrets than the universe,
It seems content,
Why?
Its dark figure stands out
Its no tropical bird
Why?
He has no love
Yet he's so content,
Even if it chokes trying to find food,
Rejected everytime he asks for love,
Even if he is dying from the weather,
He's content,
Just like me,
Stranded in this beautiful island.
Fading day by day,
At least now I fit in,
No one will judge me ,
I wake to see this dying island...
So beautiful ..
