You

You

A Poem by Farhan Shaikh

Heart beating fast
And the dust turning to blue
I'm closing my eyes
And I'm dreaming of you.

My eyes don't blink
When i dwell into yours,
I see your dreams waiting inside
For a rain on them to pour.

With a piece of luck
My heart crashed into yours,
You say you're sailing through the storm,
So I'm waiting by the shore.

Even when the time grows me old
Leaves me with the days just a few,
I'll be still, with my faded timeworn skin
Cause my 'always' will be you.

Beautiful to have an always-‘you’, I think many have that ‘you’ but keep it hidden instead of following the heart- beautiful words🌹

Always is a lovely word always...heart touching words. Every stanza is perfectly written.

For a weirdo earthling, this is a pretty well-grounded love poem to a friend or special other. Good job with rhyme & rhythm, showing instead of telling, using vivid details to tell your love story. The interesting aspect of your writing is that you express yourself in uninhibited ways, not the predictable ways. There's a puppy-like exuberance to the way you describe fond feelings (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
