frail leaf underneath
up where the deer's pathways reach
briars surround each

lower'n upper bench

buzzards circling above stench
how the heart does wrench

beautiful hide found
stretched over the bloated mound
antlers left this ground

mutilated head
what more can really be said
harvested left dead

tobacco rubbed in
apologies for the sin
mourning next of kin
