Nostalgia.

Nostalgia.

A Poem by Fay Slimm

Nostalgia.

Summer strides nostalgia's walkway
................................as dark cloaks low-tide's old delight
when lovers loitered just to survey
......................................secret hide-aways out of sight.

Intended pleasures sought no daylight.

Heady times those harbourside nights.

Ah, those summertime memories. Romance is always sweeter near the water. Not sure why. Lovely. Lydi***

Um, Fay 🍷

The thrust of your words' articulation entices the heart's savourings to recall what it's like partaking memory's enthralling moments spent in two lovers' sheer bliss.

Ya know? I've always admired your taste in artwork choices to compliment your glowing poetry, as I also relate ever-so warmly and nostalgically with the sweet taste of your poem's softly sensual bouquet in enigmatically imaginative poetic invitation.

I've genuinely enjoyed this captivatingly embracing piece.
With warmest thanks, Fay ⁓ Richard 🍃

As your poem suggests, summertime heightens nostalgia, probably becuz that's when kids are out of school & families take vacations, etc. We meet some of our most formative friends during the summer, in my estimation -- not so much the kids we go to school with -- & linking up during the summer is often followed by the inevitable promises that get broken later on. With so few words, you conjure up a whole history of the summer romance! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
