Surrender.

Surrender.

A Poem by Fay Slimm

Surrender

Gathering pace the storm of submission
hits at the mind as surrender begins
to heat wary blood.

The will is relinquished, shackles explode
from succumbing parts of the restless
but questioning heart.

Resistance yields, seems right then to concur,
even pleasant passivity has to be met
squarely as passion starts.

Strange how love's chains grow deceptively
lighter, appear much easier to wear
when it happens again.

What wonderful thoughts hide behind your words.. and, what adventure and courage too.. This is so full of hope it makes me smile.. superb wording, Faye, as ever.
