always

always

A Poem by Fabian Franco
"

just felt like releasing something

"
I've seen it happen, I've seen it laughing, I've seen it always
Screaming figures in bleeding scriptures in empty hallways
Leaving leaves off of trees as dead as mother's nurture
Naturally the orchard full of murders after heavy torture

Father died young just turned older than him
Mother crying young flesh filled with older sin
Still life is such a beautiful view
Breathing wax burning the sinus yearly due

Inhaling years the cost of giving
Gambling away years but pocketed living
Spitting pride with lips smirked the true man's temple
With clear conscious reminded love is a beautiful vessel

Sometimes simplicity is very truly good
Even if your insides feel truly deeply empty

I come out of this reading finding myself watching my breath because as I'm reading every line feels like it precedes with a burst of shuddering gasps of air. Not like crying but not unlike crying..hm..interesting. nice, piece, enjoyed it.

Really cool and cleverly written poem, I liked it a lot. It reminds me of spoken word poetry or even a rap song, but one with actually interesting lyrics lol. The subject of the poem is kind of mysterious, and the title only adds to that - I read it over a few times, trying to think of the connection to 'always'. No idea yet :p but the verses themselves say a lot:

cool use of language here "Leaving leaves off of trees as dead as mother's nurture"

moving, gave me the feelz "Father died young just turned older than him Mother crying young flesh filled with older sin Still life is such a beautiful view"

this was another one of my favorites "Inhaling years the cost of giving
Gambling away years but pocketed living"

Altogether, I think it's a poem about just living a tough life. Obviously the father died too young, the mother is worn out, and a lot of crazy things have happened, but it still sends a message of optimism. Still can't figure out the title though. Good job
