Stalking Summer

I stalk the summer

To watch time go by

As I come to a stop I realize

That what I am following isn't true

Its make believe and so are you

You lie and fight with me

Everyday I can't seem to win

So I walk away

You cry and scream

Tearing at the seams of your reality

You want me back you say

Well I gave up now go away

Go stalk the summer somewhere else

You w***e go f**k someone else

You punched and beat me

With your fists and mind

You traumatized me

Till the end of time

You took my heart and

Ripped it apart

Taking it away from

Someone who might need it one day

Now I understand

You didn't love me at all

You took my hand and

Asked me to fall

I am done with you

And everything you are

Now go away because

Summer is no more

Love this! it's my favourite of all your poems! Dark and mature subject choice and the way you tie in summer is great! My favourite line is by far

Thank you I really like this one too and I was in a difficult relationship that after I had to end it , it kinda shut me down for awhile and I lost that ability to feel connected to someone like that again

Pretty cool the way you develop the metaphor, "stalking the summer"... summer not usually seen as the time of a break up.. I've enjoyed all the poems you've added...
