Beggar's Bane

A swift poem I made for a contest about literacy revolving around the game Runescape, with a rather comedic end/conclusion.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust..
What once was vivid will now combust.

We live in a world full of deceit..
..full of hate and without retreat.

In dark times like these, you have to watch your health.
For in one fell swoop you could lose all your wealth.

There’s no point in mourning over what once was.
Because in the end you’re all part of the cause.
Your pleads led to naught and got you in this mess.
But let’s face the fact that you all voted; Yes.

To flow with the water or burn by the flame.
It matters nothing; for you’re all the same.
Even if you follow the one from which we came,
You should know better than to play that game.

Some people don’t get along and that’s a fact.
The sooner you realize; the sooner you’ll act.

May Guthix bring balance in your world of despair,
For I’m just a wanderer who knows not to share.

I’m heading to Varrock to sell the fruits of my labour,
So run along now son; I’m not your friendly neighbour.

And with that said, I “thought” I left him with a smile..
FFS, buzz off now beggar! You’re cramming my style..!
