How do you know if you're a poet?

Does one ever really know?

Well, it seems that you're very prolific in your writing. Do you consider yourself a poet?

I consider myself a Weaver of words.

I like how things sound.

I like how they roll around in my mouth.

I like the texture of it.

 

Excuse me the texture of it? You make it sound like it's a lover.

 

I guess it is a lover.

With a lover, do you not find passion

With a lover, do you not excite easily

Do they not make you cry the cry of 1000 heartaches

Do they not make you long for them to embrace you

 

Oh my, I've never thought of it that way. So, your lover is poetry?

 

One of my lovers is called poetry, and the other, well…….

I have crazy conversations with myself all the time. I think we all do. You are correct in your assessment of poetry. I think you've captured something quite ingenious.
I'm worried now. I like the taste of wine, the way you swish it about in your mouth, the fragrance it sends out.
Am I a wino?
Actually, I don't drink. I'm not against drinking, I just don't do it...anymore.
