Beyond recognition

Beyond recognition

A Poem by Fieora Andros
"

A very discussed and important topic in our lives! For some very essential part of life as well.

"
You replaced me,
The clock whimpered,
People see you instead of me,
The calendar said feeling hindered.

I was used by everyone so often,
You are such a manipulator!
Yes, you put me in the coffin.
I am the calculator.

I used to show people way,
Now I am kept just for show,
You helped them hang me in the hallway,
Said compass bending a bit low.

I was invented a long time ago,
I had my body and a hardware,
Yes I am the long forgotten radio,
And you are the one who had me snared.

I was trussed in their wrist,
Secured on walls proudly amidst.
Now I am an option to be fetched.
Cried the clock as he went on to quech.

(Unanimously):-
You left us all ransacked,
We feel neglected as well as attacked
Now you are available to them through thick and thin,
*And as they stopped*
The phone looked down and made a quick grin.

It is a great bitter truth that we are so bound with our little smart devises attached to us. In fact this will soon be something that our future generation won't know what are these objects. Good personification done in all the aspects. I loved the clock's statements particularly.

All in all a great work, a work of a keen observer with having good spin on their words.

Great work again.

Best,

It almost felt like an animated clip. A quick read. Us befriending the sensational device, allured by its multitasking ability, we have long forgotten our good old friends. The phone comes with too much of convenience which often times is not required. A very striking point made here. I liked the way you pointed out the agony of the past technology that is now termed as outdated and is packed in drawers, and covered in dust. You have a gift of blending objects with emotions. Got me nostalgic.
