Last Stop

A Poem by Fractured Minds
"

This is what i think a coma would be like.

"

A man dressed all in black
Strode through the night
His hunched back
Slowing him down
Knowing this
To be the final town

Man in black
Starts to fall
Hits the ground
Starts to crawl
Slowing down
Knowing this
Is to be the final town

Never stopping
Never eating
Never hoping
Never sleeping
Is the man in black
Slowing down
Knowing this to be the final town

Man in black
Sarts to cry
No one ever
Questions why
Alone and afraid
He slows down
And stops near the edge
Of the final town

Alone and cold
He lived and dies
With cold forgotten tears
Still in his eyes
Forgotten in the depths of county down
Near this last and final town

The man in the hospital
Bed quits breathing
Surrounded by family
All are weeping
As the man in the comas
Heart stops beating

The man in black
Knows not of this
Not of his families
Final kiss
For in his mind
He nears the final town

In the county of the down

Dies without knowing he is loved
Breath leaves him
Like a doves
Wings beating
Weeping
Alone
Afraid
Resigned

He dies in the county down
Never reaching the final town
