Beleaguered Passage

Beleaguered Passage

A Poem by Robert Trakofler (Bad Bunny)
"

on my way to work yesterday morning....

"

__Beleaguered Passage__

I must

Sip savor seize scintillate

As much

Grace

As I

Can

Swallow

And thus

Rise ration raise radiate

It’s lush

Taste

That I

Can

Follow

My crushed

Heart harkening heavyweight

A hush

Brace

Decried

My

Wallow

it's the healing, when it's least expected, but all it needs is to open our hurt hearts and bond with the wonders around us, even the tiny ones, in them we find hope and faith, and You are just stepping into that, I love this, the form, rhythm the SNOWFLAKE and simplicity of it, I always try with simplicity but somehow I always end into the opposite lol

beautiful thought, my friend, I will think on it every morn,
This feels extremely heavy, and burdensome unjustly so.

I saw a glass of whiskey...
I hope your troubles lift and cheers to you!

This is a great poem. I love your wordplay & parallel structure from verse to verse, which is highly unique. The structure strongly guides the reading, such as those longest lines, 2nd in each verse, these lines cause us to slow down & pause & think on each word you've used in the string. Even tho the alliteration is interesting, it's the meanings of the words that intrigue & cause the reader to pause & consider these word choices & how they all combine in the line. We all need to seize all the grace we can find! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

Weighted down with stones … I know the burden all too well. Your words have hope. Let them seep into your soul.

It's part and parcel of it all but not all. I know it's hard to believe it at times.

dear Robert... you have earned a Rite of Passage.
Relax and know that many would envy your
accomplishments..... the Art... the appreciation...
the opportunity to mingle with people of all

Good luck... and Enjoy... truly, Pat

there was a time during the "Harlem Renaissance" when every poet tried to sound like Countee Cullen.
This is a passage from his poem "From The Dark tower":

"We were not made to entirely weep.
the night whose sable breast relieves the stark,
White stars are no less lovely
being dark".

I thought of this passage as I read your last two stanza's. There is a festival; the alternate rising and falling of stars. Grace and taste and human frailty. love and lust and the oft opportunistic, degradation.
Your style, in any century, is a title wave...Great poem....dana

Dear Bunny, I sincerely hope that the heaviness in your heart lifts. Some days are like that. Snowflakes are beautiful and temporary. They can melt the heart. I hope your troubles soon melt away too. Lovely alliteration and rhythm in your lines.

We do have to sip and savor every step of the way on our life's adventure. Some experiences are better than others, but they are ours and we are fortunate if we can embrace them. Delightful alliteration in this one, Robert. Lydi**
