'To The Frey'
Robert Trakofler,
Life is difficult and serious so we need a bit of light hearted banter which I found here in this writing of yours. I really appreciated how our identities are all unique to each soul we possess...that is who we are....our personalities. We all feel a little strange sometimes.
Blessings,
Kathy

I was the strange child, black sheep of the family. I couldn’t understand why other people didn’t see the world like me. It takes time to figure out it’s ok to be this person. Even then, some days I’d like to be the “normal” proper person I imagine in my head.
But, we are who we are. That’s a lesson in itself and a valuable one. Being an oddball has its virtues as well. Art is not created, in general, by the contented or conventional personality. Our difference is sometimes what sets us going.
I see acceptance in your poetry. Like you have found yourself and want to celebrate that finding. It’s lovely to see. And your poem is such an affirmation - with its wry smile ending. Peace comes from within, indeed.
Yes… writers are weird, but we poets take weird to a strange refrain. Check out my own homage to "Strange" https://www.writerscafe.org/writing/MomzillaNC/1407490/
I read Emerson here, remnants from "Self-Reliance," honor in nonconformity, staying true to oneself, and sometimes smiling through the pain of rejection. There's appeal in the "strange," especially when confidence lies at the core. Another poem that's more than words, sir.

Moon Madness could be your middle name and if it were, then .. we'd all be green.eyed at your birth-given name, dear sir! Don't dare ever change. Who said you can't wear a hat with a three inch red heel, who said.. 'if I ruled the world I'd be a poet who knows how to juggle words into an anthem!' Love the read, love the intention, love the upsidedness, it's a real invention! Your words make music..
(just read again... love the musical tones of the academically wild rhyming:'
As a boy I pondered
Clouds in formation my purview
My thoughts oft did wander
Misting the exchange of square roots)

Going to read your words all over again whilst sipping a cuppa and desperately wanting another cookie!
So then Robert, you are a self confessed oddball, probably described as eccentric by many and a f*****g nutter by a few :))
I often drop by to read but seldom know what your words mean, that's just me being thick :))
Hope you are well.

I think you're pretty special to a lot of us here!
Who some call strange ... are merely interesting. I do believe that writers are driven by necessity to strangeness, how else to define what we do and how we do it.
So, if strange is deranged, I'd rather not change.
Well done, Rob, a touch of saneness in the midst of insanity.

Thanks Ted....you go...weirdo! LOL what a strange fate to be born into the strangeness reigns:/
Hmmmm...”When you’re strange, faces come out of the rain...” Jim Morrison would truly love your askew poem Bad Bunny! Beautifully versed and rhymed, it dances across the mind. We see through our muse’s eyes- be they clear or blurry-ha! Poets are doomed to be “Strange”! “Drift to draft past strife’s cast refrain”- wonderful line worthy of the Bard. Alliterative genius demonstrated throughout. Wish I had your Gift of Gab my friend! Truly an illuminated manuscript alight with poetic brilliance. Kudos!
