Parodyse

Parodyse

A Poem by Robert Trakofler (Bad Bunny)

__Parodyse__

Oh to be held again;

Where are all the tea parties?

Joyful strolls pon the glen;

And confidence shared for heart ease?

What wretched wayward act;

Did I do to lose your esteem?

A bit of refuse cast;

Behind the closet door to dream

Plastic playmate parody;

Once so loved my soul now, astray.

Languishing wearily;

My face is cracked my dress, is frayed!

 If only I was real;

She would love me once more, what joy.

I Must take young heart meals;

Swallow flesh and souls to, employ!

Delicious destiny;

No longer will I be, her toy.

Such scintillating screams;

Soon her adore shall be, enjoyed!

If only the inanimate and the lifeless could speak. It would be awesome to know what they see, speak and feel. You brought those playthings to life with this poem Bunny and combining them with Halloween brought an eerie touch to the delightful poem. I loved the window display too. Those dolls look so 1800s. Enjoyed this read so much.

There is a horror tale here screaming to be told in lyrical rhyme, of course. Great write, Robert. You can embed videos from youtube through the share function or if you google video embedder, you should find a few sites that can help.

Your words my friend are both devastatingly beautiful and sad... both compelling and creepy .. I feel just like that sometimes too.. an object once treasured then discarded.... a doll tho is for life innit, not just for Christmas....or Halloween, or whenever.. One helluva poem Robert. one helluva window display... N :)

I want to enjoy but these dolls scare me, i know it's not real but somehow i want to run from the darkness >>>>>>

Maybe in another lifetime i knew them to be alive ?

Skeletons, ghosts and ravens make me smile, but dolls ..... oooooh :(

Even when the rejection is from the voice of a doll, it is a relatable on an all too personal level. The cracked heart bleeds. The picture of your window display is perfect.

oh dear Bunny! this wrenches the heart so much so! the pain is real, the wound still feels like now... You brought some old memories to me reading this, sometimes being helpless in Love will bring the most negative feelings inside us, and Love shouldn't be like that, but tell that to a heart which is desperate... to a heart which has unrequited feelings... I see this in Your words too, though You spoke in the voice of an abandoned doll, unfortunately most grownup forget or try to forget their inner child, neglect it... terrific poem, Your window... well PERFECT because I'm really was SO VERY scared lol!

P.S, if Your video is on Youtube, I can help You by telling You how to upload it here.

Woo, that is a creepy window display-- perfect for Halloween. The poem is an excellent compliment. My mom has a doll from her childhood that scares the beejeebees out of me every time I accidentally come upon it. Its skin is cracking so there's that patina effect that makes it feel like the doll is coming through the original skin and shifting into something else.

Which is what I felt like the doll in your poem was doing. There are so many stories I can think of that try to evoke the way inanimate things feel when they are no longer the subject of adoration. I was thinking of some that have made an impression on me like The Velveteen Rabbit or the story of Robert the doll. Your poem is now a fine addition to that canon and will haunt me for some days after reading!

Great atmosphere and voice in this, Robert. Feels like the soul of the doll speaking.
