Artistree

Artistree

A Poem by Robert Trakofler (Bad Bunny)

__Artistree__

Nobody wants to be seen

But many want to be heard

Clarity can be obscene

But you can, take my word

Many have scrawled before me

A chorus in silent dirge

Manuscript marked melodies

Implores of grace in infer

Not crafted in elegy

But solicit further stir

to your living… artistree

you cant pretend any longer to not be a figurative writer from the seventies/ where they looked for spacing and democracy like members of a jazz combo. It's like the three way lamp with the three way bulb you turn to the highest lumen/ it's unfair your use of language to mean age or a heart in fibrillation/. It's hard for me to unwind after poetry. What I mean is that, I don't act good in crowds. I take long walks but always end up where I started.....Artistry then is a paragon/ the laughing witch of Mississippi that holds our shoulders in half sleep. Wherever we move about, it always brings us back. Your poems are ballistic/ and i'm in love with them... dana

Nice. It seems sometimes that the shorter the lines are, the harder it is to get the rhyme to not feel forced. I never felt that when reading this. And the meter, (I know sometimes can feel like the real work), was spot on. He shoots, he scores.

I think this a superb poem with a great positive meaning attached. "Artistree"? Witty! Beware of axes, my friend.

Hi Tate:) thanks I like this one too (for once)
Art is Tree - Does life imitate art or does art imitate life? Listening is just as important as speaking.

Hi yes I agree miss enigma
Wow and your muse is artsy and word artistry. I guess poets like to be heard via their word. It's a sublime poem indeed. Kudos and best wishes,

Thanks Zaynab:)
Comes across a lot better for me now. On the other hand, others might have preferred your initial offering. What pleases one may put off others.

......... eye eye Cap'n :)
The title is fascinating and makes me think of an ancient tree of poets from time immemorial till contemporary. Poets of all kinds are a part of this enchanted tree, they are burgeoning, shining then fading. Each wanting to be heard in his own way, his own style, leaving upon the world his/her own unique imprint, hoping it lasts forever. Poetry is an art full of grace and implores to be interpreted, unfolded and related to. To be cherished in meanings that we derive from it, in purely personal ways. Superb write, bunny.
Loved the artwork too.

Nicely rhymed, Bunny, but I believe implore, plead and infer are all verbs, not nouns.

to the pantheon of poets and painters that have gone before, or after, depending on perspective, this is my artistree, loved your comment to Ted about cave paintings, it all makes sense after all, wrote a poem myself called poetree, not exactly the same, I'm just a self promoting w***e, lol

Awesomeness I will find it:)
I like the artistry in this one Rob ... the rhythm ... the pacing ... the rhyme combine into a sublime rendering of art. Sometimes I think that writers don't consider what we do as art and yet it is ... every bit as much as a painting or a photograph ... if not, no Shakespeare ... Longfellow ... Frost ... Plath.
Hopefully, when we apply ink to paper we paint a picture in a mind that will be remembered many years later.
This my friend is art. A good write.
