Ethereal Eggs

Ethereal Eggs

A Poem by Robert Trakofler
"

just a silly thought flow thing this morning

"

We will not be the same people today

That we were the day before

And the day before that

I can’t recall

But I think I had eggs

And I can assure you

If I did

They are not the same

too

Or maybe

I’m just imagining

I had breakfast

But that

Doesn’t make them taste

Any less

delicious

but it does

beg the question

of nutritional content

This reminds me of the old saying -- you can never swim the same river twice. But knowing you, of course this would be cranked up with a few notches of nonsense: "You can never eat the same breakfast twice" (being a restaurateur, of course you would see it this way!) I don't eat eggs, nor breakfast, so I'll just have to take your word for it! *wink! wink!* We got 1.5" of rain in 8 months, then we got 8" of rain in 1.5 days . . . has not stopped pouring down rain for even one minute! My creek will be raging mud when it gets light becuz I've been hearing the thunder of it all night long, boulders crashing, even over the pounding rain on my single-board-thick roof (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I understand the poem Robert. Comes a time. Where life need some change. Same meal, some walk and same conversation. Would be nice to have a change of pace. Thank you my friend for sharing your amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Having read your poem, having done something I rarely do: read some of the reviews, am now needing a second breakfast. All the egg mentions and additional items just don't equate with honey toast.. which, is my very favourite~ usually. However, am now making shopping list to include future memories, as of now! This really is a very tasty poem, dear Bunny, whatever your INtention

I'll dice the onion and let it sizzle up while you grab the eggs, shaved ham and Colby-Pepper Jack cheese. And I'll make a spicy grilled cheese sandwich with a fried egg, and maybe a Bloody Mary.

yum:) I haven't had a good grilled cheese in a long time!
Ah Rob, you can't make breakfast without scrambling a few eggs ... I like mine with back bacon and rye toast ... a side of hash browns and coffee ... orange juice optional.

Now you've made me hungry ... but then we are different people today than yesterday.

LOL, my nutritional content does seem to fluctuate too:)
perhaps the nutritional content, in that particulate event may have required a supplement to what ever extent, but that should not represent it all as a non-event
Just yokin easy over

what with you being a restaurateur of note, I shall take heed of what you just wrote (just typed)
I am fully, totally, absolutely, completely convinced that any changes in you will be the most positive ones, dear Bunny. Thanks for sharing this little gem. It made me look inwards . And I love eggs for breakfast too!

well next time you come and visit I will make a big plate of eggs with tuna
Its good to change dear Bunny!
As long as we keep adding to our nutritional content!
Those silly ones that crop up now and then have such wisdom often.
They are poems in themselves. Our inner voices, to be heeded, appreciated and penned beautifully on the page just as you did with this one.
A poem that grabs mindspace instantly!

Indeed, Bunny, some religious philosophies claim the past was all a dream. I have been trying to push that line with the IRS, but the results have been disappointing.
