Life Like a Maze

Life Like a Maze

A Poem by Trenton Colburn

I am working my way thru life like a maze
working thru problems in a devastating haze
i push back those problems, the ones causing fear
and i kill myself inside,
blood as my tears
I am awake, and i am alive,
but i do not want to be,
my desires divide.
i am scared of the pain,
but it can't be more than what i feel now,
i need to keep going, i can't let myself down.
keep me soul in memory,
keep me living inside,
keep my thoughts living,
and know that i tried.

I love the feeling that brushes through my mind as if the words push through every part of me as i plow through the words sending my brain into an explosion of excitement and wonder from the poem. Thank you.

Well Trenton you said you are only 15 and I have to say that you did a good job. At your age I was asked to write a poem for homework and I was not able to write one line, not even one! So well done.
