`Words of Love`

~Words Of Love~(Sonnet)

Love you are to me, drops of honeywine
With each new kiss beneath the golden sun
Your lips sweet bouquet, quench this thirst of mine
Our love has entwined, for all time as one.

Valentine,we shall sing loves sweetest tune
Share eternal bliss, 'neath a silver moon
Of Cupid's Cup, we'll drink a toast to love
Kindly condoned by the heavens above

Let's reach for the highest star in the sky
These words of love, are meant for only you
The sun, moon and stars, know this to be true
Forever, we'll cherish love, you and I

You are to me sweet Love, my heart's delight
These Words of Love I'll pledge, each day, each night.

Great mythic imagery for Valentine's Day: "drops of honeywine" in "Cupid's Cup." This is a wonderful answer to the Valentine's Day Challenge -- and you didn't even have to wrack your brain for something new! :D

This one hales back to Victorian romantic poetry for me. Love it. How did I miss it before?

NOTES: you need spaces behind several of your commas

oh our Hearts know this, Love attracts Love, the secret to all bliss - here you have savoured the sweetness of Love in words that cherish and a lyricism that smiles upon the face of the beloved - Oh to kiss the beloved with the same kiss the beloved kisses me and in that kiss live an eternity -
