vaguely familiar

vaguely familiar

A Poem by Fran Marie

taken aback by
a potpourri of deja vu..
an aphrodisiac of jasmine
and sensual scents

yes, oh yes

I've been here before.

wrapped up in your warmth

feeling your touch..tasting desire.. and
so much more

we laughed,loved
and danced beneath moonlight
with each kiss of bliss connecting the stars
perfecting our love

all this ever so

vaguely familiar

yes, oh yes
I've been here before

and here we are again

This conjured up such a delightful air of romance and pleasure - and the key phrase 'a potpourri of deja vu' showed a perceptive understanding that sometimes we go through the pleasures of 'jasmine and sensual scents' while at the same time feeling it is a kind of ritual.

The trailing structure supported this feeling of detached reflection.. and I wanted to go there again.

The sense of smell can be so evocative dear Fran. Can transport us to another time, another place with a single nostalgic "whiff'. This poem a reminder. Jasmine and sensual scents. Just lovely. So enjoyed this read. Have a lovely Sunday Fran. Roast lamb and mint sauce and the intoxicating fragrance of lilies take me back in time.

so very much;
And you should cherish every minute of it. There's something magical about love that affects us more than anything. When you don't have it, you want it. When it comes around again, the excitement starts, the heart looks for it. I've been there.

Lucky you if you can get all that back. Your lines stimulate the senses Fran Marie. An aphrodisiac of jasmine and other sensual scents, certainly create a sensual ambience. Isn't it wonderful how fragrances can make certain occasions even more memorable. Enjoyed the read. Thank you.

A delightful memory of a special someone who made you feel wonderful. Lucky enough to have it all over again...whether in fantasy or reality...and this poem is just so honest. Loved it. Lydi**

An aphrodisiac of jasmine.... So nice within a potpouri of deja vu... It's like a lingering scent that keep us reminding that a warmth was there sometime, someday and it's very familiar but somehow lost. But we are certainly attracted towards a beautiful memory when passing through it..... A very very nicely written poem

I wish I could write something as simply authentically touching as this. Nothing you express is complex or done with high word crafting, but the enthusiasm flows thru to bring your whole message alive . . . "potpourri of deja vu" is my favorite phrase of the week. This is the kind of phrase that keeps on giving! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
