Fran, this is a truly descriptive and beautiful cinquain. Thanks for submitting this to my latest contest "In a Nutshell" (was it a YEAR ago that I ran the other one?!)

This is good. It is short and simple. Sometimes just a few words can paint a vivid image. I liked this.

A cinquain that reads and feels like a haiku, which is pretty unusual. Tightly drawn, but retains some of the ethereal feel that you'd find in a haiku. Solid piece of work.
