Shadow Spirits

Shadow Spirits

A Poem by Fran Marie

When the winds are breathing low by the shore
Shadowy spirits rise from ocean's deep floor
Dark aspirations, obscure in my mind
Still, surface Earth's death~vivid in time

Atmosphere dense, with feelings of doom enhanced
Whence free wild winds, played tune to flower's dance
Remembering well love's fair-faced romance
Lain down beside me on beachy white sand

Scanty prayers offered, too little, too late
weary words spoken, as sofly I wait
for love's last embrace in arms I know well
and wish for a kiss to bid me farewell

Now! shadow spirits rush fast from sea's floor
When the winds are breathing low, oh so low

Beautiuflly crafted, the mood and flow was dripping with lush scenes of romance and the the sound of shadows singing sweetly.
