An Angel Fell

 

 

 

The dark power I have been following
  has become a reality,
not just shadows wavering in night's wind
  directly from the pits of hell,
 it beckons to me
   no reluctance have I, a good angel fell
 
into it's deadly sin
  this power has consumed out of control
I am now one with the dark night
   as sadly I begin
to feel its deadlock might
  with its sinister shackles 'pon my soul

 

O' how long in darkness must I dwell

  with my mind in sullen shadows cast

to relive a nightmare

  in this god-forsaken hell

an evil neverending task

   filling my soul with black despair

This was very dark piece, I have seen sexual content there, addiction to a person and having hell's agony with it. Very well written, vivid and rhyming was perfect, too (as usual, you always write beautiful rhyming lines). I enjoyed a lot. masterpiece.

I like the "real time" effect which the speaker brings. I felt a definte sense of eternity expressed in the final stanza. An excellent method to end or "begin" the poem. Oh yes, and of course the dark imagery was wonderfully disturbing. Chilling write, I like it!
