DEath's SpiN

DEath's SpiN

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

Gothic LovE

"

I'm caught in a death spin when I'm with you

you bleed my soul in shades of red

Those dark, dark shades of crimson blood

sins stained in scarlet fall 'pon my head

The web spins tightly securing our sacred creed

my love you are to me the darkest light

your gothic love breeds the evil seed in me

of lust and love on the blackest night

A red blood moon bleeds out our names

and stars sink deeper down to a dull dark glow

speaking in a sapphire sky of wicked love untamed

it's a dark serious love only chosen few know

An underworld of your darken soul within

a web of gothic love has me in death's spin

I loved the depravity and lust here the darkness of forbidden love the wonderful display of blood splattered affection really cuts through me like a knife through butter,as the darkness covers the two embrace in a midnight kiss and a werewolf can be heard in the distance before they transform from mortal humans to immortal dark angels on a pale blue night.

A spine-chilling write Fran. Had me on the edge of my seat right to the end. Thank you for submitting this to my gothic contest!

Nice! I love how the physical words on the page (screen) almost seem to twist away as the depth of darkness deepens.

my love you are to me the darkest light

Great line. Wow. It's like something I would hear in a song and put as my headline on myspace or something. Too cool. This poem kinda seems like a cliched dark poem to me. Too much talk of blood and darkness and the moon, but ya know... Gothic love: what was I expecting right?

Thanks for entering this into my contest. After you entered, I thought about it and decided that I only want the pieces to be about Valentine's after all, so feel free to take this one out of consideration and enter another. Just thought I would give you a heads up.
