A Gentle Place

A Gentle Place

A Poem by FRANK

Sitting alone
By this fire
And along this creek

I think of many things past
Wondering if I will ever be the same
Wishing for some sense of calm
To rise from within

Along with this shadow
Of someone foreign
And astranged from me

My eyes wander
Beneath trees and clouds
To the narrow path
That I traveled a few short hours ago

With a fire flickering
Water fleeing
And clouds hovering

My mind wanders
A gentle place
Within dreams
Where I am not alone

Hoping to hear something

Reminds me of a creek that is near my home where I love to go. Your writing is very nice. Thank you for sharing and welcome to the cafe/debileah
