A Poem by Randomness
"

Just another simple poem about living

"

There's mountains yet to climb here

And there's paths here still to choose.

Nothing can hold me back now,

And there's nothing left to lose.

The door is opening wider

To horizons still unknown,

Where seeds can still be planted

In new places not yet sewn.

My eyes are getting brighter.

I can see clearer than before.

I feel the pain of hunger

And I know that I want more.

More than just to be happy,

Much more than to be content.

I want to have the laughter

In a life that's been well spent.

I want to feel the magic

That surrounds all that I see.

I deserve to be that happy

In tomorrow's yet to be.

I think this is one of my favorite poems I've read on here. You capture the feeling of wanting to be more than just simply content, perfectly. The longing to travel, to explore, and climb mountains. It's such a bittersweet feeling to want to do everything and feel everything, but not knowing if you have enough time. The rhyming is also great, and I can feel the emotions you put in this as I read it. It's very inspiring and I love it. I hope to see more from you!
