False Smiles

False Smiles

A Poem by Katrina Crago.
"

I have finally written another poem :)

"

The smile I shine is bright

Confident

Loving

Not me.

The Smile I shine is shy

Humble

Forgiving

What I wish I was.

The smile I shine is love

Memories

Laughter

Things I wish I had more of

The smile I shine is nonexistent

Just a ghost

Of my former self

Very close

The smile I shine masks pain

Masks all the tears

Masks all my emotions

Right on target

The smiles I shine are false

I’m nothing but a fake

Trying to continue my life

Couldn’t get any closer.

I can really relate to this. It's sad, but really well written. Kudos.
