Nightmare Beach Party

Nightmare Beach Party

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)
"

One for fun!

"

I’ve been hibernating in my word cave

Now I’m surfing sexy on a brain wave

Looking for some madness in the punch bowl

Rolling like the sunset on the warm shoals

Never been a sucker for a beach scene

But I reconstruct it with a dark theme

My ocean is a mass flowing blood red

Filled with hungry monsters from my sick head

Mushroom clouds on jelly bean horizons

Black doom shrouds on bikinied living dead

Sharks eating marks; watch jagged jaws tighten

Like boa snakes that crawl the river bed

I’m just seeing demons in the fresh crowd

Gobbling up plum faeries like some smoked trout

Robbing innocence from the candy queens

Spitting writhing uglies on the smug scene

I’m laughing at the gore like a cartoon

Fishing for an answer in the time tombs

Wondering if I’ll ever see the light

Swimming wayward in forever night

Zombie hordes creeping the Gum Drop Forest

Red eyed sweat pigs on Old McDonald’s Farm

“Hell follows with us!” is their gospel chorus

I’ll keep dreaming ’til I hear the damn alarm!

New tomorrows floating in my Lucky Charms

Sweat pigs eh? :) I like it. Sounds like something George Romero could use to make a movie. Kudos. Now where is my surfboard?

This would be a fun scene in a movie.

Imaginative stuff! A demonic candyland as well as a beach party. Shoulda worked jana nd Dean in here somewhere.

My fave: "Gobbling up plum faeries like some smoked trout". hahahaha
