The Queen

The Queen

A Poem by FugitiveBalloons
"

Started reading Alice In Wonderland and I guess I got into it.

"

My hope dies each day as light flickers from the T.V. screen.

My thoughts are shattered and the pieces are missing.

I am spiraling down a rabbit hole.

Yet, at the end, there will be no wonderland.

No place of fun or adventure.

No place for love or warmth.

At the end of my rabbit hole, there will be, sitting and waiting for me…

The Queen Of Misery.

Your facility with metaphor and meaning makes this voice-of-doom verse downright palatable. Well-crafted despondency.

I like how the way you used "Alice in Wonderland' to bring out the entire point of this poem. A quite tragic and hopeless poem. I can strongly feel the emotion of how hopeless you are, and how the place is boring, no love or warmth or bliss. In the real society, life is not as same as what you think in this poem. Life is full of surprise, and hands and shoulders are everywhere to help you. Our friends and families are the keys to lock out the lock in our heart. An inspirational poem.
