Parkland

Parkland

A Poem by Gabby
"

Poem about finally standing up to make a difference.

"

We are told to pray

We are told to hope,

to forget.

But we will not forget,

for every time we try, tragedy strikes

So this time we will not pray for change.

No. This time we will stand up and fight

This time we will be heard, and this time we will make a difference.

You are right, there should be a change... I just do not know what that change should be.

Every ruling that could save us could also hurt us. Sacrificing rights, in this sense, would do no good for the law-abiding. But, something should change. We can't control evil and evil minds are what is causing these people to kill the innocent. If only we could stop the virus of evil...

Before we go into gun rights, if that is where you're going with this poem, we should at least first mourn the sanctity of those precious lives stolen. In terms of change, perhaps there should do something about security, since Parkland had many preventive measures that were not utilized. I really don't know much about this subject. But, if we're going to change, it has to start with the people, their minds, and their souls.

If the changes you refer to mean weapons bans, how would they be enforced?
