Advancement

Advancement

A Poem by Glenn Scott

at last years convention,
it was
concluded that one
might not be enough.

upgrading was natural
why not.
It was clean and chrome
where was the clicking?

The gear shifted and fell
into smooth rhythms
quieter thumping of a
stainless pulse.

expanding
waiting for the contraction
but
it never resurged.

its bigger now at the
convention this year
bigger
but cold.
