I Felt it During the Day

I Felt it During the Day

A Poem by G.W. Saitreux
"

trying something a little different

"

Today the Earth tilted

Neptune's gaze wilted

Away from Earth's center.

Earth shifted this winter
Behind the Sun shaded

Earth's outline, it faded.

A new shadow cast

Upon Earth's past

Place within space.

Earth met its new face

Perceptions which filled it

Directions which killed it.

Stars and sky quilted,

Today the Earth tilted.

That cosmic reflection. It always strikes me, contemplating such things, that even the smallest cosmic events can have such extreme effects on our human existence. All we like dust in a cosmic wind, compliant subjects to it's whips and whims. Kind of perspective shattering. If only to spark this train of contemplation, this poem was provocative and well worth reading. Of course there is probably more to glean, but that's what really stood out to me.

I really liked this.

Thanks, as always, for your kind words
A very interesting poem. Made the reader feel the tilting and the possibilities. Last week. A large rock fell from the sky 15 miles away here in Michigan. My night crew felt and heard the piece of rock land. Our world can be interesting and dangerous. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Was a big story. Sort of scary. Never know what can fall from the sky. You are welcome.
