I Couldn't Say

I Couldn't Say

A Poem by Beatles9322
"

This is slightly fictional. It's about a guy I used to like.

"

I've known you for ten years,

We've been together all this time,

We were best friends,

Little did you know, I wanted you mine.

I couldn't tell you, couldn't say,

The way I felt about you,

It would ruin the friendship,

I learned later on that you wanted me, too.

All the good times we had,

We always had fun,

You didn't even get mad,

When all the games, I won.

I couldn't tell you, couldn't say,

They way I felt about you,

It would ruin the friendship,

I learned later on that you wanted me, too.

I was so happy when I heard you loved me, too,

I rushed to your home and the bell, I rang,

But, when I came into your room,

I saw that you were hanged.

Silently, in shock, I cut you down,

On your bed there was a note,

"Goodbye, world. I'll miss you all,

She didn't love me, although on her I would dote."

He couldn't tell me, couldn't say,

The way he felt about me,

It would ruin the friendship,

I learned too late that he loved me, too.
