Now I Do

Now I Do

A Poem by Beatles9322

All of my life, I never thought,

That I was worth loving,

I was melancholy every night,

This heavy burden I was lugging.

The day we met was pure magic,

I immediately fell in love,

I know you did too,

Because you said I was sent from above.

This love, this passion, this obsession,

It is stronger than you and me,

We cannot control it,

We must always be.

The year we spent together was heaven,

Until autumn arrived and we said goodbye,

I didn't know you were sick,

I didn't know you would die.

So now, as I read this poem aloud,

Kneeling by your grave,

I cry thinking about you,

And all the love you gave.

All of my life, I never thought,

I was worth being loved true,

But after meeting my soulmate,

Now I do.
