I'm Ever So Sorry

Written about my Jewish friend who doesn't understand why I, a Christian girl, can't go to prom with an Atheist boy. 2/23/11.

I'm ever so sorry I have standards.
Did I offend you, dear,
When I went against your wishes?
Oh forgive me, darling, I should settle.

You can't understand why I
Feel this way, honey?
Sweet, I apologize
For adhering to my beliefs.

You constantly tell me I'm wrong, dollface.
You try to make me go against my beliefs all the time.
Well, if it comes down to picking you or God,
Just know that I'll pick Him. Every. F*****g. Time. ;)

I'm speechless! As I go through your poems, I am more and more encapsulated in their messages and raw emotion. I am also a Christian and I know that God said that Jews goes hand-in-hand with us Christians (I'm paraphrasing). Why would a Jew try to go against anything that you do? And I just glanced over to your profile. I love how the first words typed are "I love God". You go, girl.
