Intellectual Waltz

Two souls united in one breath
Both hands become as one
His mind softens
And her mind quickens
As they dance their intellectual waltz.

No one knew they would or could
Combine to form such beauty.
But once they spoke alone together,
All doubts were forgotten.
They were no longer solely themselves.

The sun was a bit brighter that day.
And the air a little sweeter.
Everything was fresh and new
When you took me on an intellectual waltz.
